From breathtaking performances to thrilling announcements, this year has been packed with remarkable highlights. Join us as we celebrate the top 10 standout moments at LW Theatres that made 2025 truly extraordinary!
One Night Only
It was a Wednesday night in late March when close friends and collaborators, Elton John and Brandi Carlile, graced The London Palladium stage for a special night of stories and songs. We heard tracks from their joint album, Who Believes in Angels? plus both treated fans to performances of some of their biggest hits.
Spiritual Surroundings
The magic and wonder that is My Neighbour Totoro swooped in via catbus through the night and landed on the Gillian Lynne Theatre stage. Bewitching audiences with its puppetry and charming them with a story of love, friendship and curiosity, Satsuki and Mei helped us to escape for a few hours and join their world.
I Need a Hero
Between the pillars that stand at Theatre Royal Drury Lane, amongst us mere mortals was our new hero, Hercules. Arriving in June, the wise-cracking, column-shaking, underworld-rocking ride of adventure and self-discovery made for entertained audiences night in, night out. Bless their souls.
High, Flying Adored
Like everyone else, our summer plans involved new shows, cocktails at The Lane, and loitering around Argyll Street to get a glimpse of Rachel Zegler perform on the balcony at The London Palladium, as part of the critically-acclaimed Evita. The reimagined production with award-winning director, Jamie Lloyd, at the helm drew in crowds inside and outside the theatre – it was the summer of star quality.
Extraordinary Starts Here
Emerging from the shadows of LW Theatres this year was a brand new venture, LW Tickets: a new destination to discover and be inspired to experience live entertainment. From timeless classics to bold new openings, it was designed to make discovering and booking shows effortless. More extraordinary live experiences await in 2026..
Could It Be Magic?
Can you believe it took 50 years for Penn & Teller to be inducted into the Magic Circle? Well it all happened during their tour, whilst they were at The London Palladium for their mini residency of 11 shows in September. Carefully weaving comedy and magic like the delicate piece of silk they effortlessly moved through a body during the performance, the dynamic duo conjured up laughs, gasps and applause in abundance.
What’s The Buzz!
The news travelled fast: Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Jesus Christ Superstar was to be the 2026 summer show at The London Palladium – starring Sam Ryder as Jesus. Long before the doors open, the show has already made headlines with the fastest-selling presale in the theatre’s history.
Priceless Experiences
LW Theatres and Mastercard announced a major brand partnership to celebrate and share the magic of extraordinary live entertainment across the UK. Rooted in a shared purpose for creating unforgettable experiences and bringing fans closer to their passions, the collaboration aims to engage audiences in meaningful and memorable ways, while supporting the long-term future of our historic West End venues.
Entertainment All Year Round
An absolute mammoth 300 Concerts & Events took place across our six theatres – spanning music, comedy, dance, talks, podcasts and everything in between. Not only that, we announced 2026 shows with the likes of Lily Allen, John Mulaney, the Stricty Come Dancing professionals and more.
Palladium Panto Tenfold
It was 2025 that marked a glorious ten years of pantomime at The London Palladium. With a who’s who of comedic talent featuring over the years, the panto has once again become an institution in its own right, with Sleeping Beauty – starring Julian Clary, Catherine Tate, Jon Culshaw and more – being the latest instalment to hit London’s home of variety. And fear not, the West End’s biggest show is set to return once again in 2026. Oh no it’s not! No really, it is.
